Summer Reading Program – Week of June 14

This week our Animal Activity Packet is all about REPTILES! You’ll find a fun snake craft and some other slithery activities. Our first Tales in the Parks program included 2 books about animals in AFRICA!

• Wisconsin is home to 37 species of reptiles! You can print off a checklist of Wisconsin reptiles and amphibians. How many have you seen?

• One of our stories at the park was about a cheetah. Watch this clip from PBS Kids to see a cheetah in action!
• Our library recently won a mini-grant from the UW-Madison African Studies Department. This Read Africa grant allowed us to purchase some books for our library. Many are award winners from this list – Children’s Africana Book Awards.
