Summer Reading Program – Week of June 21

This week our Animal Activity Packet is all about MAMMALS. You’ll find a sticker craft and some other activities related to mammals. Our Tales in the Parks program will be held at the Edgerton Hospital Healing Gardens. This is a beautiful location and one you will want to visit again and again! Our stories feature animals from ANTARCTICA.

While we hope you visit the library to find lots of books this week, here are some links for you to enjoy as well!

This week our Animal Activity Packet is all about REPTILES! You’ll find a fun snake craft and some other slithery activities. Our first Tales in the Parks program included 2 books about animals in AFRICA!

Our library recently won a mini-grant from the UW-Madison African Studies Department. This Read Africa grant allowed us to purchase some books for our library. Many are award winners from this list – Children’s Africana Book Awards.

Our Summer Reading Program is off to a great start! Many of you signed up early – and we look forward to seeing more of you this week as you pick up your reading logs and flyers. Just a reminder, it’s never too late to sign up, but you need to read at least 30 days in order to win a pass to our POOL PARTY on August 8th!
