Library cards are issued, at no cost, to any resident of the State of Wisconsin. The cards are issued for three years. Children under the age of 18 need to have application cards signed by a parent or legal guardian. The librarians may request photo identification with a Wisconsin address.
In applying for a library card the user agrees to handle materials properly and return them by the due date. A user or their parents may be assessed a fine on any lost or damaged materials based on the cost of repair or replacement.

Interlibrary loan is a service provided to obtain materials which are NOT available in the Clinton Public Library. Materials requested are borrowed from other libraries. Photocopies of non-circulating materials can also be acquired.
Who May Use Interlibrary Loan?
How Long Does it Take?
There is no charge for borrowing materials. The cost of photocopies, usually 10 cents per page, must be paid by the customer.
Please leave the Clinton Public Library slip in the book.
When the library is closed, materials may be returned in the book drop.
Late return of materials jeopardizes the ability of the library to borrow from other libraries in the future.
Persons who have items that are overdue will not be able to check out interlibrary loan items.
